PROCESSING TIME:

It can take up to 7-10 business days to process your gift, as some of our gifts are handmade to order.

COURIER / DELIVERY TIME:

Courier fees are extra and payable upon check out, a fee will be levied per parcel for delivery within South Africa.  Should you have bulk/multiple gift boxes please email us at info@giftgenie.co.za  and we will be more than happy to assist you directly.

Delivery time may take 24 – 72 business hours, depending on the destination it is being delivered to within South Africa.  An extra surcharge fee will apply should you wish delivery to be on a Saturday, unfortunately no Sunday deliveries.

The courier company will collect the gift box by 14:00, Monday – Friday.

Deliveries from Monday to Friday from 08:00 till 17:00 only.

When ordering item(s) during any public holidays, please ensure the recipient is available at the address provided and not gone on holiday, as we cannot take responsibility for loss, damaged, expiring or perishing of the item(s).

Please note:

An additional fee/surcharge will be levied over and above the normal courier fee for parcels delivered to a Chain store or an Embassy and to regional towns which require special trips to be arranged, please pop us an email at info@giftgenie.co.za to inquire what these charges are and how long it will take for delivery before processing your order.

ONLINE PAYMENT PORTAL:

We use PayFast as our online shopping cart portal.   They are PCI-DSS level 1 compliant.  They use Extended Validation SSL with 2048-bit encryption, which is one of the highest levels of encryption currently available.  All sensitive info is encrypted within their own database.  They run penetration testing on their system weekly to look for vulnerabilities.  Their entire site are all served off secure servers, making it harder to perpetrate phishing attach’s.  A 3D secure is in place for all credit card transactions.  Now that was a mouthful!

LEATHER ITEMS:

Some of the leather items are made from 100% real leather.  All these products are handmade and handcrafted locally. Due to the availability of leather it can sometimes take up to 10 business days to manufacture but trust me you will love these products and they are well worth the wait.  Please take note that slight variations may be present in the colour of the leather although the supplier will always try to source and maintain the same dye-lots.  The final product may also differ slightly from the photographs taken.

RETURNS/REFUNDS:

Should an item(s) arrive damaged, please pop us an email to returns@giftgenie.co.za with photos of the damaged item(s) so we can investigate. Please lodge your query with us within 48 hours after parcel is received.  We will then communicate with you directly to resolve the matter.  Having said that, we take careful attention to ensure that all items chosen are carefully packaged and checked before being sent, however, accidents can happen.  After 48 hours upon receiving the gift box we will consider the item(s) sold as final, satisfactory and complete.

Should any damages occur from incorrect usage or accidental, negligent or from normal wear and tear, unfortunately not refunds/returns will be granted.

  • Edible food products be opened and consumed.
  • Change of mind.
  • Repaired by you or any other person.

All items on our website are supplied to us by 3rd party suppliers and subject to their terms and conditions, warranties/guarantees.  Please contact us for more information.

We at Gift Genie believe in supporting our local artisans and entrepreneurs and each of their products are handmade and made to order, making each item special and unique.

Delivery time may take 24 – 72 business hours, depending on the destination it is being delivered to. To rural parts of the country, delivery might take longer than the usual 24-72 business hours delivery.

All our gift items are outsourced by a third party and are subject to stock availability, which can change at any time. Unfortunately, certain items may be discontinued by the supplier without prior notification.  Should this happen and the item(s) are no longer available, you may choose another product or request a refund.

No two items are alike as they are handmade to order, making each item(s) purchased one-of-a-kind.

Once the order is ready you will receive a courier shipment confirmation via What’s app or email containing the tracking number and a tracking link so that you know where the parcel is every step of the way.

Do not worry, the courier company will return the next business day.  Please ensure the delivery address provided at checkout is correct.

Cancellation of any personalised or branded orders can unfortunately not be returned or refunded, as we cannot resale any of those item(s).  Please ensure all Personalisation/branded details are correctly typed in before checking out your order.

We will email the invoice to the purchaser’s email address, provided to us upon checkout.

Unfortunately not, as the products are hand-made and can take up to 7-10 business days.

We suggest you double check your message before checkout, as our Genies write the message word for word as you typed it.

All our products are outsourced by third parties to Gift Genie.  If you or the recipient of the gift items have any food allergies or intolerances, you/they must discontinue use and contact a doctor immediately.

Please note these foods are produced in kitchens that handle any forms of nuts/dairy products and these foods are not suitable for people with peanut/nut/dairy allergies.

How do I care for my leather items?

Leather is a natural animal product which ages beautifully over time depending on use and certain elements.  Leather item(s) should be treated with love & care. Excessive rubbing on rough surfaces will damage and buff the leather.  Scratches, marks, and flaws are not considered to be defects but rather a stamp of authenticity.

  • Lightly Rub dirt off immediately with a warm damp cloth.
  • Blot off extra moisture with a clean dry cloth.
  • DO NOT let your leather item(s) dry in the sun.
