Soy wax is natural and can react to temperature changes in South Africa’s climate, the wax may occasionally show “frosting” (a white crystalline layer) or small “wet spots” (where wax pulls away from the gypsum wall).

The candle is handmade and subtle variations in texture, finish, and colour are to be expected. Small “beauty spots” such as microscopic air bubbles or slight surface deviations are not defects, but rather the unique DNA of an artisanal product. These characteristics ensure that no two candles are exactly alike.

The candle vessel is gypsum, specific care is required:
Heat Protection: Always burn your candle on a heat-resistant surface.
Vessel Integrity: Do not burn the wax down to the very bottom of the gypsum container; stop when 10mm of wax remains to prevent the vessel from overheating.
Aftercare: Once the candle has finished, the gypsum vessel can be cleaned and repurposed as a decorative holder.
